Exclusive Château Hire FAQs

  • Can I hire the entire château for my anniversary or celebration?

Yes absolutely, châteaux were made for large parties and grand functions, even smaller châteaux such as ours. In the past three years, our guests have celebrated their birthdays, anniversaries, family re-unions, vacations and even weddings here, and you can too.

Our online calendar rates represent hiring the château for up to 15 people to stay for a short break or holiday. If you would like to hold an event either separately or during your stay for more than 15 people, please contact us for a specific quotation for your needs.

  • If we hire the château for our holiday, or event, will it be ours exclusively?

Yes, there will be no-one else staying inside the château while you are there. The gardens and château are yours to use for the entire duration of your stay. We do offer bed and breakfast accommodation to patrons at selected times of the year, however this is not at the same time the château is rented out exclusively.

  • How much does it cost to rent the château?

Our rates represent incredible value for money, for an exclusive venue. The château can be hired with rates as low as 26 euros per person per night in low season. You can find the exact rate for your stay on our website calendar.

  • Are bed linen and towels included in the hire of the château?

Yes, all bed linen and towels are included for your convenience, including extra pool towels for you to use during your stay.

  • What else is included in the hire of the château?

In general, we try to include as many things as possible, to make your stay at the château a comfortable one and a real home-from-home experience. It is impossible for us to list everything that is found in the rooms at the château, however, if you have a specific question, please do just ask us.

  • What is the château’s kitchen like, what equipment does it include, and will it be suitable to cater for my event?

The château’s kitchen is newly renovated, and we hope it contains all those things you may need, to have a great self-catering culinary experience, both for eating inside the château and dining alfresco. If you would like to receive a kitchen inventory before your stay, to ensure you have what you need for your holiday or celebration, please just ask and we will be happy to send this to you.

  • What are the check-in and check-out times?

The short answer is ‘it depends on your type of booking’. For full week bookings, the arrival time is 17.00 – 19.00 and check-out time is 10.00. For weekends, the arrival time is 17.00 – 19.00 and the departure time is no later than 17.00 on the last day of your booking.

  • Are there spaces outside to eat alfresco and is there a BBQ?

We have several outdoor seating areas for you to enjoy. There is seating for 15 people directly in the pool area next to our BBQs, (we have both a gas and a charcoal BBQ for use during your stay at the château, with the first bag of charcoal included for you.) There are also comfortable outdoor sofas at the pool and again to the side of the pool at the front of the château.

For guests staying during 2024, we will be adding an outdoor pizza oven for those who really like to cook pizza, roast vegetables and meat and more outside. There is also a separate terrace area at the back of the château which has doors which open out from both the salon and the dining area. This area receives the full morning sun and is ideal for breakfasts on the terrace overlooking the parkland or to enjoy perhaps a quite moment or two in the shade during the heat of the afternoon sun.

  • What activities are there to do at the château and directly around it?

The château is located within its own private parkland and is in a heart of nature setting. There are walks to enjoy around the château, natural swimming in the river and the château’s waterfalls, and you could even take part in fishing or kayaking if you have your own equipment. There are some garden games for you to enjoy, as well as board games and more for inside fun.

The area is great for cycling, and also has so many other activities both for families and individuals. Please see our Explore section on this website for further details.

  • Do we need a car to be able to stay at the château?

It isn’t 100% necessary to have a car to stay at the château, however it does make things easier. There are trains and taxis which would enable you to reach the château without a car, yet as the château is self-catering, a car would be beneficial to enable you to do your shopping for provisions.

  • What will the weather and temperatures be during our stay?

It isn’t possible for us to directly influence the weather, however in general, our region of France experiences great weather at most times of the year. For a further detailed look at our climate, you could visit Météo France.

  • Is the end of stay cleaning rate included in the rental price?

For weekend breaks and week-long stays or more, if you book direct with us, the cleaning rate is included in your holiday price. If you book with a booking partner such as Vrbo, Abitrel, Gites.com or others, this price is usually displayed separately for you as this is how they itemise your fees.

  • What is Tax de séjour and when do I pay it?

Tax de séjour is a small local tax that must be paid by each adult staying in any tourist accommodation in France. It is priced here in Haute Garonne at 1.10 euros per adult per night. Some online booking partners collect this tax from you when you make a reservation, if you book direct with us, this is payable on arrival.

  • Is the pool for our exclusive use only during our stay at the château?

Yes the pool is for your exclusive use only. Nobody else will use the pool during your stay. The pool will be ready for you to use when you arrive and if you are staying with us for a week or longer, we service and clean the pool several times during your holiday, for your convenience, so this is not something that you have to learn to do or be concerned with. The swimming pool is open from 1 May to 15 October each year.

  • Is it ok to smoke inside the château?

Smoking is not permitted inside the château, only at outside spaces.

  • Is the château wheelchair friendly?
